I am installing VICIDIAL on:
Fedore Core 2
Asterisk 1.2.11
VICIDIAL 2.0.2
Perl 5.8.3
asterisk-perl-0.08
MySQL Distrib 3.23.58
root's mailbox is spammed with the following mail:
Subject: Cron <root@mark1> /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl
pattern match read eof at /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_conf_update.pl line 191

Any ideas how to get rid of these errors?

Asterisk 1.2.11 has a few big bugs in it and I would suggest downgrading to 1.2.10 or upgrading to at least 1.2.14
As for your issue, that is usually fixed by properly configuring your manager.conf file.

Problem solved!
For security reasons I have changed the password in the manager.conf and astguiclient.conf files but not in the database.
Matt, thanks for your response. It really reduced the places I had to look for the problem and saved me a lot of time.
