Asterisk 1.6

We currently have an Asterisk server V1.6 in production and also have a VICIdial test server installed with VICIbox. We would like to make a trunk connection between the VICIbox and our asterisk production server so VICIbox can use this server to dial out.
Is it possible to upgrade the current asterisk 1.2 version installed with VICIbox to asterisk 1.6?

ViciDial does not support Asterisk 1.6
I would suggest upgrading to Asterisk 1.4.21.2 instead.
As a side note, At Astricon this year Digium announced that the 1.4 tree will actually be supported LONGER(5 years) than the 1.6 tree(2 years).

He isn't trying to integrate vicinow with asterisk. He wants vicibox to use the asterisk 1.6 as a carier. As I understand, SIP is SIP IAX2 is IAX2. It should work.

We have tested with 1.4.27.1, but it should work with the most recent 1.4 release.
