Are there any timers out there on the market that are still currently in use? Should I be getting these? Years ago I had the USB timers.

If there are, and I should be using them can someone please point me in the right direction.

The only ones we recommend are Amfeltec. We have hundreds of them in production and we resell them to clients as well. We typically use the PCIexpress x1 cards:

Just want to clarify, is this used only on asterisk servers? or including web and database servers?

Will having a timer expand the capacity for the number of agents per asterisk server? or stabilize calls?

Thanks!

They are only used for Asterisk servers. Using a hardware timer will reduce the likelihood of audio issues on calls or recordings on higher load systems. For our VICIhost service we use Amfeltec hardware timers on every one of our dialers.

mflorrel will these timers work with DAHDI version 2.11.1 asterisk 11.25.3-vici And if so which one on that page specifically?
x1 PCI Express System Timer
MiniPCI Express System Timer (PCIe Interface)

etc?

I have had a few of the USB ones and I was told they would not work anymore.
