ViciBox v.7.0.1 has been released along with the new ViciBox v.7.0 installation manual.

ViciBox v.7.0.1 improvements:
- Corrected the vicibox-tel.sh script so it is executable
- Corrected PERL issue with lead loader
- Updated to SVN 2480


Manual improvements:
- Follows the new ViciBox v.7 install screens
- Documented the new ipset integration with SuSEfirewall2 for blocking bad IPs
- Documented the new vmspool_manager.pl utility for clearing out old voicemails
- Removed the preload instructions since a preload is no longer being built (it was very tempermental)

While it is highly advised to have basic Linux skills when installing VICIbox server, it is not required. If you follow our Installation Manual you should end up with a fully functioning VICIDIAL system. Please visit the ViciBox forum for further details regarding the ViciBox multi-server installation.

Hi everyone, i'm have been testing a server for a month with many issues, most of them with outbound inbound calling. I just download the Vicibox 7 uptdated Installation manual @ http://download.vicidial.com/iso/vicibo ... nstall.pdf, i will do a fresh install today so i need some advice.

Im testing my server @ home behind a Comcast Modem/Router XFINITY ARRIS Touchstone TG862G/CT 25MB/s Download 10mb/s Upload

Question 2: What port should be open for inbound / outbound calls : UDP 5060, UDP 10000:20000 Others ??
Question 3: In the installation Manual Phase 1.5 - 10 says

Using the up and down arrow keys, select "Internal Zone" and press ENTER. If this is the second network card connected directly to the internet, select "External Zone" instead. Optionally, if you are going to disable the built-in firewall, select "Internal Zone" for all network cards to prevent the system from being locked out should the firewall be turned on by mistake.

What should i use in my case ???

I have a lot of troubles connecting to sip providers most of them configurations between my modem firewall and ports and Vicibox Firewall. I will capture my installation screen and record a Video to help others to install Vicibox in an easy way ...

There is any help with chat ??

1) This is not one question, it's several.

2) This is not related to the release of Vicbiox 7.0.1 or the V7 Manual ... it's several unrelated support requests.

Think of it this way: You have several questions that YOU would like answered. Personally. But: If we answer those questions in a topic named "ViciBox v.7.0.1 Release along with V.7 Install Manual", you will be the only one to benefit. That information will be forgotten almost instantly.

However: If you were to open a fresh thread for each of your requests (with an appropriate subject line for each), the odds are pretty good that anyone else with a similar question will actually find your question ... and the related answer. Thus helping everyone from this point forward with that same problem/question/need.

In fact, if you check ... I bet you'll find that the answers to these questions have already been posted in this forum. Probably more than once.

That being said, if google won't provide you with a good enough parallel, feel free to create a new post for each question with a suitable subject line and I'm sure someone will be along to help you out. But don't hijack "we've released!" posts for your own nefarious needs. LOL
