Hello;

Is there any incoming new vicibox that is using newer OS than 12.3?
Because vicibox 5.0.3 which is using 12.3 is causing the below error:

doing fast boot
Creating devices nodes with udev
[ 1.274132] [drm:drm_pci_agp_init] *ERROR* Cannot initialize the agpgart module
[1.274726] DRM: Fill_in_dev failed

I'm working on it, but SuSE Studio has fundamentally broken the pattern tool that allows me to just tell it "Add the LAMP server stack". It is in development as OS 13.1 will be part of Project Evergreen which gives it 3 years of bug fix and support.

3 years of bug fix !!! So, which vicibox version will be? Is it for example 10.0?
After 3 years, I think suse will be using OS 15 or maybe 20 which will requires another 3 years to build vicibox using it.

It would be ViciBox v.6.0. The major number in ViciBox relates to the OS Distribution used. ViciBox 3 was OpenSuSE 11.3, ViciBox 4 was OpenSuSE 12.1, ViciBox 5 is OpenSuSE 12.3, and 6 will be 13.1.

the minor number, or the next one that comes after the major, relates to the SVN branch releases. That's why there was a 3.0 and a 3.1. 3.0 was 2.4 and 3.1 was 2.6. The subrevision after the minor has to do with the actual vicibox build like the installer and bug fixes.

Excellent. Let me know if you require installation beta testers. I won't be able to put a client on one, but I can certainly help to debug the installer itself if you like (and if we have time). For instance, each time we build a new box, I could have the installer go through the installation with your alpha/beta version parallel in a virtual system to see what flaws we can find. If it helps. 8-) Some time next week we expect the slowdown to allow such things (and we'll likely be putting out our Ubuntu version right about then).
