Hi guys

I am trying to make some changes to the crontab on our new vicibox systems.

I am new to vicibox and suse having used ubuntu for a few years.

I want to add the reboot script and also our custom version of the recordings delete script which removes ovber a day old original recordings and leaves the mp2's

However when I type crontab -e like I usually do, one of the first lines says do not edit this file, edit the master and reinstall!!

But where is this?

Regards

it says that but it's not required, as this file will not be regenerated (unless kumba has something in zypper that kills it).

there is already a sample script in there (disabled, just need to remove the #) to delete old recordings. it can be adjusted to ignore any folder you actually want to keep them in, but if you read the line you'll probably get that.

Hi William.

Thanks for the help. Again!!!

I have a custom version of the command I use to only kill old un mp3'd recordings. I just wasnt sure where to put it in the crontab as is said not to use it.

I will make changes there.
