We just tested out the email module. Took some time to get it to work, had a problem with SSL_VERIFY in Perl.

questions:

Will there be predefined answers in the form of a knowledge base in the future?
Will there be support for HTML emails with a WYSIWYG editor?

We don't have plans for those currently, but I'm sure if a client sponsored them they could be added.

We might be getting a big client who could fund it, not sure.

Two questions:

I noticed the chat tab is blinking when you are paused as agent but the email tab isn't. Is this intentional?
Do e-mails take precedence over chats? I had waiting chats in the chat queue and emails in the email queue and i only got emails.

That sounds about right. Currently there are no functional settings for Chat Group prioritization.

We have a previous customized email template system. Cheat, though: We pull the template from any URL for HTML versions. With codes in the HTML web page, then any web page can become the template, even if it's not on the Vicidial server. We even had a functional (although very specific) method to include the images as attachments vs linked source files.

It was for a fairly old version of Vicidial, but not likely to need a whole lot of changes aside from the fact that it was in a "very simplified" version of the Vicidial interface.

It also had quick buttons for sending the emails, using a customized "hot keys" method.
