SMS via Email campaign

Before I go down the long road of routing SMS traffic into our dialer, has anyone had a decent level of success with this. I'm semi familiar with how the email feature works, but I'm a bit skiddish about the solution twilio's support page are telling me. They say use Zeit but also say Zeit has rebranded and the usage of it is being re-evaluated by twilio. We have a dev team but before I went do this road with them I was curious if anyone has had success with SMS into email into vicidial.

LOl hes such a dick about that, its really not relevant from most the questions he puts it on, but whatever, as far as SMS goes, there is pretty much any solution you can use thru an iframe on a script tab. Js.

His knowledge is priceless though IMHO. Do you know of anyone using the email functions with SMS? We tried to configure something here using twilio numbers and a sendgrid sms to email connector and was able to receive the SMS on the email tab on the agent screen but when we would reply it would send via the from address and we needed it to be sent from the reply to address which contained the phone number.
