Can vicidial_manager table be truncated on nightly basis?

Last time I checked it had over 4 mill. records, causing severe lock-ups of the MySQL queries to it.

Is the table used for any reports? Can it be safely truncated on nightly/ weekly basis? Maybe include that in AST_DB_optimize.pl?

Using 2.0.5 SVN version maybe 2 months old and am afraid to update since it's working perfectly.

If you had followed the installation instructions this table should be cleared every hour.

There is a crontab entry that does this:

### flush queue DB table every hour for entries older than 1 hour
11 * * * * /usr/share/astguiclient/AST_flush_DBqueue.pl -q

Guilty.

Had it only on first server, on the second one it was commented out, most likely when migrated to multi-server setup.

Must also have missed the grep result for that file, done before posting here.
