Calls Per second?

Postby TritenTech » Tue Mar 24, 2009 3:21 pm

Our Sip provider asked us to keep the calls per second to no more than 10 calls per second. How do I do this? If I am running in predictive mode and running 6 agents at a leven of 2.5 per agent and everybody is is ready status and Vici shows 15 calls being placed 13 calls ringing. How many calls is the dialer placing per second? Is there a way to control the calls per second?

Thanks

Do you only have one server dialing?

If so, and if you are using 2.0.5, then you can use the server setting "Max Calls per Second:"

No, I am using 2.0.4.

I will look into upgrading to the 2.0.5, but until then what should the dial max calls be with 2.0.4 to keep around 10 calls per second.

The only way to change the calls per second is to edit the code directly of the AST_VDauto_dial.pl script.

WHat about setting Max Trunk to 10, that way you are sure it never dials more than ten calls per second?

That's a bit drastic, that would also limit him to only 10 calls active. Limiting yourself to 10 call per second you could still have 200+ phone calls going at a given time without going over that dial rate.

Thanks for the info Guys, I am going to post in the Jobs/consultation section to see about having my system upgraded from 2.0.4 to the new 2.0.5.

Thanks
