Hi matt,

I am running VICIDIALNOW 1.0.1 at 5 to 6 locations. But every locations, two problems are disturbing me and clients also. I'm using XORCOM ASTRIBANK DEVICE.
16 FXS and 16 FXO channels.

When telecaller login and after pressing resume button, live call begins.
But, the first problem is: - sometimes telecallers come in conference and this telecaller is hearing conversation of other telecaller .

the 2nd problem is:- when telecaller in live calls, sometimes noise come such as tik tik tik tik...................\

I see some zap channels is not hangup and two or three zap channels are on same meetme.
I manually hangup that CHANNELS from the vicidial agents screen.
Every agents face this problem again and again.

Please tell me any good solution to remove these problem.

In zapata.conf, the configuartions are as below:-

; Autogenerated by /usr/sbin/genzaptelconf -- do not hand edit
; Zaptel Channels Configurations (zapata.conf)
;
; This is not intended to be a complete zapata.conf. Rather, it is intended
; to be #include-d by /etc/zapata.conf that will include the global settings

Not sure why you needed to post that config file.

What version of Asterisk are you using?

What version and build of vicidial.php are you using?

What is the loadavg on the server when you have audio issues?

What are the CPU and RAM on your server?

How many agents do you have total?

Do you have any other option other than FXO/FXS for connecting to your telco?

Hi Matt,

What version of Asterisk are you using?

Asterisk 1.2.24

What version and build of vicidial.php are you using?

I'm using VICIDIALNOW-1.0.1, so vicidial.php and all other thing is inbuilt,

What is the loadavg on the server when you have audio issues?

top - 16:38:30 up 2:24, 2 users, load average: 2.10, 1.54, 1.06
Tasks: 116 total, 1 running, 114 sleeping, 1 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 5.6%us, 1.8%sy, 0.0%ni, 82.6%id, 2.3%wa, 7.5%hi, 0.2%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 2075708k total, 2005320k used, 70388k free, 77388k buffers
Swap: 2096472k total, 0k used, 2096472k free, 1738748k cached

What are the CPU and RAM on your server?
Ram = 2 GB
HP COMPAQ DX 2255
A64-35/500 GB HD
How many agents do you have total?

I would really suggest using something other than POTS lines, there are all sorts of problems with using them with VICIDIAL including audio issues and call progress detection problems.

Hi Matt,

Can I use PRI or SS7 with Vicidial?
I think if i will use PRI or SS7 then this problem will not come.

Thanks & regards
Arvind

Not really any reason to use SS7, a PRI will be fine.
