Lead search not honoring slave DB?

Hey all,
Was looking into some slow queries on our system and noticed some lead search queries in the log that were occurring on our primary DB server. In the System Settings I have the slave DB enabled and the "Search Leads Logs" report (among many others) selected as a report to use the slave DB. I looked at the /vicidial/admin_search_lead.php file and it appears that these queries are being forced back to the main DB whenever it's returned to use the slave DB. Just wondering if there is any legitimate reason for this and why it's included in the first place.
