Inbound Answer Configuration

Postby anoop.kr » Sat Jul 01, 2023 7:00 am

Dear all,
In our set-up, the answering method is kept as automatic, that is, the system answers automatically without agent intervention. Due to some reasons, we are not using the On-Hook Agent: Y option. While going through the System settings we came across an option "Inbound Answer Configuration", and followed the configuration expecting the agent would get a prompt to answer the call, if I understood it correctly. We had changed in the settings in the IN-GROUPS also (All of them, NONE, ROUTE etc), but no prompt is coming, is it really the intended behavior of the setting ? If so kindly advice, so that the agent gets a prompt to answer the call.

Regards,

No, this setting is for when Asterisk sends the "Answer" signal to the inbound carrier upon receipt of an inbound call, it really doesn't have anything to do with the agent or the on-hook settings.
