any recommendations for a database server for 300 seat cap with inbound/outbound calling, Ratio/adapt dialing, recording all calls? This is just in the planning stages.

Thanks

Hello,

You can use something like E5-1650v3 with 64G of ram with RAID-10 240G SSDs. We're now normally using E2276G with 64G of ram and a TB of NVMe drive. NVMe are faster but no replication means you need make a backup on a dialy basis. You'll need a slave server along with it good fire power to keep up with these fast CPUs and act as hot backup in case of Main DB goes down.

What about these specs for a master and slave (2 identical servers) for 300 agents w/ratio or adapt at a descent pace(2 or3 lines to 1).

2 x Xeon® E5-2683 v4 16-Core 2.1 - 3.0GHz Turbo
2 x 32GB KSM24RD4/32MEI Dual-Rank, DDR4 2400MHz, CL17, ECC RAM
2 x 480GB D3-S4610 560 / 510 MB/s, 3D NAND TLC, SATA 6Gb/s SSD
4 x 960GB PM1643 2100 / 1000 MB/s, V NAND, SAS 12Gb/s SSD
MegaRAID SAS 9361-8i, SAS 12Gb/s 8-Port, PCIe 3.0 x8, Controller with 1GB Cache

Then there is the question of how many webservers and what should the hardware focus be on with them? cores? speed? RAM-a-lamadingdong?
what about dialing nodes? recording everycall and using G729 codec... is it still 25 agents per dialing node or has asterisk and/or newer hardware been able to help get more bang out of a buck ... spent on dialing nodes?
