Leads transfered to agents before customer answers

Postby enjay » Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:21 pm

Anyone ever see this issue:

ADAPT_HARD_LIMIT campaign

Agents in ready state

when the dialer starts calling leads it transfers to the agent before it actually connects the customer so the agent hears it dialing.

Sometimes this happens when you are running through another Asterisk server and you do an Answer before dialing on that server, or it can happen if you carrier sends an Answer signal upon the start of the dial.

so if the carrier sends an answer signal at dial start is there a way to fix this, or can the carrier modify this. The carrier on this issue is actually Verizon in MD.

What is the dial_level set to?

What kind of trunk connection is this with? (POTS/T1/VOIP/etc...)

The dial_level has been set to all the different settings to try and fix. The trunk connection is using POTS lines. I am using a Digium TDM800P card. It is brand new and I don't know if it will work correctly. I have done this in multiple setups now with the same result. Always picks up the line as soon as the call is initiated.

POTS lines are very bad for call progress detection in Asterisk. I strongly recommend not using POTS lines. Try IAX or SIP instead to test.
