It is very difficult to debug Slackware boot issues remotely. Can you post the last output that shows up before boot fails?

Hello,

Did you follow the scratch install( http://astguiclient.sourceforge.net/scr ... stall.html )?

It contains detailed instructions on configuring lilo during the setup and also on how to modify /etc/lilo.conf if you recompiled the kernel.

Good luck!
