Firstly I would like to thank all the people that contributed to this wonderfull project. You are great guys! I was wondering which linux discribution you recommend as most stable for using vicidial with asterisk 1.2 branch? I am using asterisk 1.4. Will downgrading to 1.2 affect my configuration files and dialplan logic?

We recommend OpenSuse, Ubuntu and Slackware.
Downgrading from 1.4 to 1.2 will affect your dialplan, I would suggest looking at the sample 1.4 and 1.2 extensions.conf that are included with the VICIDIAL codebase.
