Hi Matt,

I finally have some time to try a scratch install and i just need an interpertation of one of your instructions.

"- vi /etc/ntp.conf (change to just 1 line: "server 18.145.0.30")"

should i just add that line to the file or should i have only that line in the file.

You can make the file contain ONLY that line.

Scratch Install: ntp.conf

Postby layburma » Mon Feb 16, 2009 2:53 pm

Hi Matt,

I also do not see "ntp.conf" in /etc/ after installing ntpd package in Scratch Install. Can I create the file with this line?

server 0(dot)pool(dot)ntp(dot)org

I have learnt that "server 18.145.0.30" is not responding at the moment. I would appreciate if you can share more about its configuration.

Thank you & regards,
Lay
