March 2019 Asterisk User Survey
Welcome to the March 2019 Asterisk User Survey.

Hey All,

My name is Matthew Fredrickson and I'm the project lead for the Asterisk project. First off, I wanted to thank all of you that contribute in various ways to the project - whether it be at a developmental level, answering questions on forums and mailing lists, contributing documentation, or just generally advocating for it within your sphere of influence. It takes so many people's efforts to make the project what it is and to sustain such a large and vibrant user and developer community.

We have a general survey about how people utilize Asterisk that we are sending out. It should only take about 10-15 minutes, but would help us understand better how our users are utilizing Asterisk and help us to understand if there are important areas of Asterisk that we underemphasize from a development perspective.

Thanks *so* much again for your time, and best wishes to you in your efforts.

Instructions:

Complete a separate survey for each group of Asterisk instances you have that share the same characteristics. At the end of the survey, you'll be asked how many of your Asterisk instances this survey response applies to.

If you do fill this out, and it is pretty technical, please mention keeping app_meetme support in future versions of Asterisk.

The one I'm most worried about is app_meetme, because it's currently classified as "optional", which means it's the easiest type to end-of-life, and it would be quite difficult to replace completely with one of the bridging applications.

Did the survey just to support app_meetme. Couldn't answer all questions.

Thanks! That would be my major goal in getting people to fill out the survey :)
