Caller ID Name sent during calls

Postby wjohnson133 » Fri Oct 06, 2017 4:12 pm

The caller id that is being sent to some cell phones is always starting with M0061513210000001014 or something similar. I have tried changing the caller id on the dial plan. I can only send the phone number properly but the Name is always really weird.

Some carriers will send the cidname out as received on some calls. From our recent tests, this only affects T-mobile in the U.S. If it is a problem for a client, we can filter it out easily using OpenSIPs on our hosted network, and we have also set up our new VICInoc server to do this as well for non-hosted clients.
