modify database and make comments - by the agent

Postby callingcard » Wed May 05, 2010 10:35 am

I wonder if the question was already asked...

I read the admin manual but did not find the answer, maybe I looked wrong.

Can the agent modify the database if the client changed his address, or add a new phone number?

I saw the scheduled callback feature which is a great one...but except this?

Yes, the agent can have the ability to alter the address, name, etc... when the record appears on their screen. There is also the ability to prevent them from making changes if you want.

Am I to understand that if the correct option is enabled ( will look for this in the manual ), than the agent can modify data in the database, before clicking on hangup?

We have vicidial version 2.2.0 with asterisk 1.2.30 ( directly from the vicibox distro ) .

After the call is made, maybe the customer will say : I have changed my email address, and also my phisical address - please update these.

Am I to understand that the agent can modify these directly, maybe write some comments, and they will automatically be saved?

Thank you for giving from your time to help my time.

Hi,

Yes, when the agent gets the customer calling card, he then can edit directly on the card before going to the disposition. when you submit the disposition you commit the changes in the customer card.

Under campaigns -> detail view
Disable Alter Customer Data: N
Disable Alter Customer Phone: N
